The First Year Common Engineering Office (FYCEO) held its annual Meet and Greet for all the first year students. The event showcased dozens of student groups representing all disciplines of engineering. Course unions and their affiliates including MechU, RECESS, ChemU and other course unions attended to present their various clubs.
On top of that many international school chapters were there including our very own IEEE (International Electrical Electronics Engineering) and others which included ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineering), and CSCE (Canadian Society of Civil Engineering).
IEEE had a successful night having many new members sign up to join an already large and vibrant group. In collaboration with hobby electronics the event was successful in getting IEEE known to first year electrical, computer and biomedical students.
